Economically, Ghana has expanded at a rapid rate during the past decade. In 2017, Ghana’s economy experienced one of the fastest rates in the world. Gross domestic product (GDP) grew at 8.5% in 2017, compared to 3.7% in 2016, according to Ghana Statistical Service.
